Isabela Karibjanian

Isabela Karibjanian is a seasoned professional in international relations and law, currently serving as the Publications Coordinator and Editor at the International Civil Society Action Network since September 2023. Isabela has been a Junior Peace Fellow at the Public International Law & Policy Group since September 2019, contributing to pro bono legal assistance in peace negotiations and post-conflict governance. Previous roles include Legal Researcher at UNHCR, Research Fellow with the Democratic Erosion Project, and various positions at the Watson Institute and other organizations, showcasing expertise in communications, research, and legislative affairs. Isabela holds a Master's degree in Global Governance & Diplomacy from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Brown University, complemented by study experiences at Sciences Po Lyon and Université Lumière Lyon 2.

The Public International Law & Policy Group, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, operates as a non-profit, global pro bono law firm providing free legal assistance to its clients, which include governments, sub-state entities, and civil society groups worldwide. PILPG provides pro bono legal counsel to clients on peace negotiation, drafting of post-conflict constitutions, creation and operation of transitional justice mechanisms, and ways to strengthen the rule of law and effective institutions. Since 1995, we have worked with over 40 state and non-state parties and provided legal assistance to all major war crimes tribunals. We maintain close partnerships with 12 of the top 15 law firms and have over 700 alumni working in the fields of law, government, foreign policy, business, and social advocacy around the world.
