Lorilyn Roller

Lorilyn Roller is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within legal and humanitarian organizations. Currently serving as a Research Associate at the Public International Law & Policy Group since October 2012, Lorilyn has developed a strong foundation in international human rights and criminal justice, complemented by a Master of Laws (LLM) from Utrecht University. Prior experience includes work as a Legal Assistant at University of Washington Student Legal Services and a School Registration Intern with the International Rescue Committee. Additionally, Lorilyn has a background in community engagement and leadership as evidenced by positions held at Hazen Pool and the Washington State Board of Education. Lorilyn holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Law, Society, and Justice from the University of Washington.

The Public International Law & Policy Group, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, operates as a non-profit, global pro bono law firm providing free legal assistance to its clients, which include governments, sub-state entities, and civil society groups worldwide. PILPG provides pro bono legal counsel to clients on peace negotiation, drafting of post-conflict constitutions, creation and operation of transitional justice mechanisms, and ways to strengthen the rule of law and effective institutions. Since 1995, we have worked with over 40 state and non-state parties and provided legal assistance to all major war crimes tribunals. We maintain close partnerships with 12 of the top 15 law firms and have over 700 alumni working in the fields of law, government, foreign policy, business, and social advocacy around the world.
