Prashant Yerramalli

Prashant Yerramalli serves as the Vice President of Regulatory and Operations at Public since June 2023, focusing on developing brokerage tools for retail investors and advising on regulatory strategy. Previously, Yerramalli was a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Corporate Governance & Finance at NYU School of Law, lecturing on securities regulation. Yerramalli's experience includes serving as Chief of Staff and Counselor to SEC Chair Gary Gensler, where advisory roles encompassed enforcement and policy. As Senior Vice President at Brookfield Asset Management, Yerramalli led regulatory compliance for a substantial investment firm. Earlier positions at the SEC involved advising a Commissioner and conducting investigations within the Division of Enforcement. Yerramalli's legal career began at Jenner & Block and includes clerkship experience with U.S. District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald. Educational qualifications include a JD from Harvard Law School and an AB in Public Policy from Brown University.
