Elissa Martel is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in library and community engagement services. Currently serving as Youth Services Supervisor and previously in roles such as Teen/Tween Librarian and Library Assistant at the Public Library of Brookline since January 2022, Elissa has a strong background in youth programming. Prior to this position, experience included responsibilities as Community Engagement, Media & Design Specialist and Special Projects Coordinator at the City of Philadelphia's Department of Public Health, where Elissa worked from September 2015 to June 2021. Elissa also held roles at the Adams Street Foundation and the United South End Settlements Children's Art Centre, demonstrating a commitment to youth enrichment and educational initiatives. Elissa holds a Master of Library & Information Science from Simmons University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Wesleyan University.
