Rick Holter

Rick Holter currently serves as Chair of the Main Street Advisory Board for the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation and as a Consultant for the Public Media Company. Previously, Rick held the position of Vice President of News at KERA from September 2012 to August 2021, where leadership responsibilities included expanding the newsroom significantly and initiating The Texas Newsroom collaboration, resulting in over 220 awards for staff. Rick's extensive experience in journalism includes roles as Supervising Editor for digital news at NPR and various editorial positions at the Dallas Morning News, The St. Petersburg Times, and The News & Observer Publishing Company. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
