Sal Beeby is an experienced communications professional currently serving as an Events Associate at the Public Policy Institute of California since June 2023. Previously, Sal held roles including Communications Assistant for the City of Oakland, where responsibilities included developing social media strategies and organizing public events, and Communications Fellow in the Office of Mayor Libby Schaaf, responsible for writing the Mayor’s weekly newsletter. Additional experience includes advising on COVID-19 communication strategies with the Louisiana Department of Health, interning in legislative operations for the United States Senate, and contributing as an opinion columnist for The Daily Reveille. Sal holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University and has studied at The American University of Paris.
