Stephanie Barton

Stephanie Barton is an experienced editor with a strong background in transforming complex research and narratives into accessible content. As a Senior Editor at the Public Policy Institute of California since December 2019, Stephanie focuses on converting intricate policy research into reader-friendly formats, including blogs and reports. Previously, as a Developmental Editor at SAGE Publishing from January 2016 to December 2020, Stephanie provided constructive feedback to international authors, enhancing the clarity of their studies. Additionally, during a tenure at Wiley from 2007 to 2020, Stephanie guided prominent experts through the editorial process of book development. Other roles include Technical Writer at the U.S. Department of Energy and Magazine Editor at AdvantiPro GmbH. Stephanie holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, a Graduate Certificate in Technical Writing and Editing from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine/Studio Arts from Pomona College, supplemented by studies at Instituto Cervantes.
