De'Maurion Shelley

De'Maurion Shelley is a dedicated educator with experience as a Social Studies Teacher at Lumberton Senior High School and a Substitute Teacher at Kelly Education. Currently serving as a School Bus Driver for the Public Schools of Robeson County, De'Maurion also has a background in teaching through a student teaching role, where responsibilities included managing world history classes and facilitating critical thinking among students. Leadership experience includes serving as Chair of the Black & African American Heritage Committee at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, participating on the Conduct Hearing Board, and contributing to the Provost Search Committee. De'Maurion has held various positions within the Student Government Association, including Senate Pro Tempore and Government Operations Chair, demonstrating a commitment to student advocacy and democratic engagement. De'Maurion earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with a focus on Social Studies Education and a minor in Spanish from UNC Pembroke.
