Edward Castro

Edward Castro serves as the Supervisor of Social Emotional Learning and Community Engagement at the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns since July 2025. Previously, Edward held the position of Student Support Services District Administrator in the City School District of New Rochelle from March 2022 to June 2025. Edward has extensive experience in educational settings, including as Community School Director at Flushing High School with the Center for Supportive Schools from August 2015 to March 2022, and as School-based Student Supports Manager at Communities In Schools of Chicago from September 2012 to July 2015. Edward's career also includes a role as Director of Youth Education at El Centro Del Cardenal from May 2006 to September 2012, and work as a Mental Health Specialist at McLean Hospital from October 2004 to July 2012. Edward's educational background encompasses a B.S. in Human Development & Psychological Services from Northwestern University, an M.A. in Developmental & Educational Psychology from Boston College, and participation in the Allstate Foundation Executive Leadership Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
