Rachel Kuntzsch

Rachel is drawn to the messy middle of public policy work — that space where clients have masses of information and partially developed ideas but no clear path forward. Both intrepid and enterprising, Rachel jumps into the thick of things to empower PSC’s staff with the resources, tools, and encouragement needed to make progress for the firm’s clients and partners.

In her role as president, Rachel works across the firm to shape PSC’s strategy, set corporate policy, and establish systems to ensure high‐quality results. Her entrepreneurial spirit and consensus‐forging skills help clients find common ground, develop inclusive and cohesive strategies, and collaboratively drive public policy solutions that improve the quality of life for Michigan residents and beyond. Rachel also oversees the firm’s client services, finance, and administration functions.

Rachel brings her passion and expertise to issues essential to Michigan’s prosperity, such as talent development, entrepreneurship, and social equity. Her strengths in coalition building and program management have resulted in the creation of many highly effective public/private partnerships centered on economic development, community revitalization, and equitable access to education.

Rachel has spent her career working to make a better Michigan. She currently serves on the boards of the Lansing Economic Area Partnership, the Gift of Life Foundation, and the Friends of Eaton County Parks. She co‐chairs Grand Ledge United and serves on other community‐based coalitions working to build more racially diverse, equitable, and inclusive places. Rachel also supports entrepreneurs and small businesses as a volunteer mentor, pitch competition judge, and grant application reviewer. In 2004, Rachel founded and served as president of Kuntzsch Solutions, a consultancy focused on helping organizations and communities plan, fund, and implement community and economic development projects. She merged her business with PSC in 2016. Prior to that, she was part of the business development teams at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and NextEnergy.
