Catherine Schmitt is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in transmission and distribution planning, currently serving as the Manager of Transmission Planning at PSEG since June 2017. In this role, Catherine oversees transmission system technical studies to enhance system resilience, ensuring compliance with NERC and FERC regulations while coordinating with PJM. Prior to this position, Catherine managed Distribution Planning, focusing on system analysis and project identification for load growth and green energy initiatives. Previously, Catherine held the role of Project Engineering Manager, overseeing electrical engineering projects for fossil plants. Catherine began their career as an Electrical Engineer at Northeast Utilities before advancing to Supervising Electrical Engineer at AECOM.
