Irena Edwards

Irena Edwards has over 20 years of professional experience in the financial and real estate sectors. Irena currently serves as the Vice President of Lending at Public Storage, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to joining Public Storage, they worked as the Vice President of Lending & Investments at Extra Space Storage from 2020 to 2023. From 2019 to 2020, they served as a Director at Deutsche Bank, where they focused on advancing the bank's affordable housing platform. Before that, Irena held various roles at KeyBank Real Estate Capital, including Senior Vice President - Affordable Housing Capital, where they were responsible for building relationships with affordable housing developers and finding financing solutions. Irena also worked at Land Capital Group as the Director of Finance and at Wells Fargo Bank in roles such as Relationship Manager and Business Development Project Manager. Irena began their career at Fidelity Investments as a Premium Sales Representative. Overall, Irena has a strong background in lending, investments, affordable housing, and relationship management.

Irena Edwards earned a BA in International Business from Westminster University in 1999. Irena later obtained an MBA degree in Business and Economics from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business, completing their studies from 2000 to 2002. In 2011, Irena received an Executive Leadership Certificate from the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, specializing in Leadership.
