Kristen Gongora

Kristen Gongora has extensive experience in nonprofit management and institutional partnerships, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Advancement at The Public Theater since December 2013. Over the years at The Public Theater, Kristen held several key positions, including Director of Institutional Partnerships and Development Communications, Director of Institutional Partnerships, Associate Director of Institutional Partnerships, Institutional Giving Manager, and Institutional Giving Associate. Prior to this, Kristen was a Trustee at AWOL Theatre Project from 2004 to January 2016, and a Founding Producer at 8Minute Musicals from 2010 to January 2014. Kristen also contributed to The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in various roles, including Development Associate and Patron Services Manager, from September 2005 to November 2013. Earlier experience includes serving as Special Events Manager at The Valerie Fund from January 2003 to September 2005. Educationally, Kristen holds a certification in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and attended Drew University, Montclair High School, and New York University.
