Geeta Gadekar

Geeta Gadekar has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the shared services and operations domain. Geeta has served as the Chief Executive Officer-India at Publicis Re:Sources since 2023. Prior to that, they were the Head of Global Capability Centre at Essar Uk Services Pvt.Ltd from 2021 to 2023, where they were responsible for setting up and leading the GCC to enhance the business's capabilities and support different functions and verticals.

Before their role at Essar, Geeta held the position of Director Shared Services-India at Worley from 2021 to 2021. In this role, they led the strategy for the India Shared Services and built a global Center of Excellence (COE) across functions, focusing on digital and process transformation.

From 2017 to 2020, Geeta worked as the Senior Vice President of Shared Services at Thomas Cook India Limited, where they established shared services, consolidated and standardized finance activities, and implemented digitalization and automation tools. Geeta also led HR shared services functions, ensuring payroll compliance, operations, and HRMS system management.

Geeta has also worked at Tata Business Support Services Limited as the Head of Shared Services from 2015 to 2017, where they oversaw shared services operations. Prior to that, they held the position of General Manager Operations at WNS Global Services from 2011 to 2015, where they managed finance and accounting operations and mentored teams.

Geeta'searlier experience includes roles at Steria India Ltd as Senior Service Manager from 2008 to 2011, and at Principal Global Services Ltd as Associate Manager from 2006 to 2008, where they focused on service delivery, client relations, and process improvement.

Geeta started their career at Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co.Ltd as Deputy Manager, handling motor insurance operations. Geeta'sresponsibilities included monitoring profitability, claims handling, and ensuring smooth operations.

Throughout their career, Geeta has demonstrated expertise in setting up and leading shared services operations, driving digital transformation, and achieving operational milestones.

Geeta Gadekar completed their SSC degree at Symbiosis School from 1984 to 1994. Geeta then pursued their Commerce degree at BMCC from 1994 to 1999. After that, they obtained an MBA in Marketing from the Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA), Savitribai Phule Pune University, from 1999 to 2001.
