Shyamal Bar

Shyamal Bar is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in cloud architecture and systems development. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Publix Super Markets since April 2021, Shyamal is responsible for the resilience of the eCommerce system on the Cloud. Previously, as an Azure Architect at Caterpillar Inc. from October 2017 to April 2021, Shyamal played a key role in building and adopting the Enterprise Cloud infrastructure. In earlier positions at Shell from November 2006 to October 2017, Shyamal successfully contributed as a Technical Consultant, Integration Architect, Senior Business Analyst, and Technical Architect, focusing on real-time data visualization and modernization of legacy applications. Shyamal's career began at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, with roles ranging from Developer to Assistant Manager, implementing various systems including Vehicle Tracking and Production Planning. Shyamal holds a Master's degree in Computer Applications from Maharshi Dayanand University and a Hons. degree in Physics from Calcutta University.
