Yaser Abder Rahim

Yaser Abder Rahim has an extensive work experience in the field of infrastructure and transportation engineering. Yaser has held various positions in different companies over the years.

Starting in 1999, Yaser worked as a Traffic Engineer at Autoridad de Carreteras y Transportación (ACT), DTOP, where they designed plans for highway projects and collaborated with private consulting firms.

In 2005, Yaser joined Calvin, Giordano & Associates as a Roadway Design Engineer, where they focused on designing roadway and infrastructure projects.

From 2006 to 2009, they worked at Parsons Brinckerhoff in the USA as a Highway/Roadway Design Engineer, responsible for designing roadways and infrastructure, including site design.

In 2011, Yaser became a Project Engineer for Infrastructure at Hill International, Inc., managing the Marsa Zayed project in Jordan, overseeing supervision consultants and contractors.

In 2014, they served as a Sr. Roads and Highway Engineer at Hill International, Inc., where their responsibilities included program management and developing a Master Plan for Basra Governorate in Iraq.

Yaser then joined the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning in 2016 as an Advisor for Roads, providing expertise and advice on road-related matters.

Currently, Yaser holds the position of Director of Infrastructure (Metropolitan Region) at Puerto Rico Aqueduct & Sewer Authority, where they manage and oversees various projects related to aqueducts and sewer systems in the Metropolitan Region.

Throughout their career, Yaser has demonstrated expertise in project management, design, supervision, and contract management in the field of infrastructure and transportation engineering.

Yaser Abder Rahim obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, completing their studies from 1993 to 1999. Yaser also has a certification as a Professional Engineer (#18322 - Puerto Rico, USA), which was obtained in February 2023 from the Engineering and Surveying College of Puerto Rico.
