Jason Vranek is a highly skilled computer scientist and engineer with extensive experience in research, software development, and academic instruction. Currently serving as a Contributor at Puffer Labs since February 2022, Jason has previously worked as a Grad Student Researcher at VAMA Group – UCSC, where contributions focused on building open-source hardware accelerators for Verifiable Computing. Jason's experience includes roles as a Research Engineer at Chainlink Labs and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Santa Cruz, covering topics in computer architecture and embedded systems. Notable projects include independent work on a continuous exchange market design at Flowrs, revitalizing a local quotation system at Innovation Matrix, and leading the development of a cloud-based parking system as part of a senior design project. Jason holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
