Thomas Just Sørensen

Thomas Just Sørensen is a Professor at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, starting in August 2022. Prior to this role, they were an Associate Professor from September 2014 to September 2022, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen from January 2014 to August 2014. Thomas Just also served as a Research Associate from June 2013 to December 2013. Before joining the University of Copenhagen, they worked as a Postdoc in the groups of Associate Professor Bo W. Laursen and Stephen Faulkner at Oxford University. Thomas has also founded multiple companies, including Pufin ID in 2019, KU Dyes in 2015, and FRS-systems in 2015. Thomas Just was a Specialist Consultant at DELTA from November 2011 to December 2012 and a Visiting Researcher at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in August 2009. Additionally, they were a member of Det Unge Akademi from June 2016 to June 2021.

Thomas Just Sørensen completed their Matematisk Student degree from Hjørring Gymnasium in the years 1997 to 2000. Thomas Just then pursued a MSc in Physical Organic Chemistry from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 2000 to 2006. Continuing their educational journey, Sørensen obtained their PhD in Chemistry from the same institution, Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, between 2006 and 2010.
