Ivan Acquaah, E.I.T., is an experienced Air Quality Engineer currently employed at the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency since June 2021. Prior to this position, Ivan worked at the College of Engineering - Center for Environmental Research and Technology from January 2019 to September 2022 as a Jr. Specialist II, focusing on educating high school teachers and students on air quality science and technology, as well as researching air quality sensors. Ivan also contributed to a project funded by the California Air Resources Board as a Jr. Specialist I and Community Scientist, aimed at educating local schools and communities about air quality science. Earlier roles at the University of California, Riverside include serving as an Academic Intervention Peer Mentor and a Building Common Ground Facilitator, both of which involved supporting student development and promoting diversity. Ivan holds a degree in Environmental Engineering with a focus on Air Pollution Control from the University of California, Riverside, earned between 2015 and 2020.

The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is a regional government agency created in 1967. Our jurisdiction covers King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. We achieve our mission by monitoring air quality, sponsoring voluntary initiatives, educating people and businesses about air quality issues, and enforcing state and federal air quality laws.
