Tara Feener has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Tara started their career as a Software Development Intern at Adobe in 2006 and later returned as a Software Engineering Intern in 2008. During their time at Adobe, they worked as a Software Engineer within the Flex/Flash organization and contributed to the development of Adobe Flash Catalyst. Tara also worked as a Senior Experience Developer, where they created prototypes and explored strategic product opportunities for web tools in the Experience Design & Web Platform organizations.
In 2013, Tara joined FiftyThree as an Engineering Lead, where they played a key role in shaping web-based products and services, including the successful launch of Mix, a creative collaboration service. Tara then became an Engineering Leader and co-created Paste by FiftyThree, a collaborative deck creation tool built on top of Slack. Tara managed and built a remote engineering team and led the architecture design and feature development of the web client.
In 2018, Tara joined WeTransfer as the Head of Engineering - US, following WeTransfer's acquisition of FiftyThree. Tara led the US-based product engineering organization and managed development teams for two product teams, Paste by WeTransfer and Paper by WeTransfer.
After leaving WeTransfer, Tara worked at Vimeo, where they held various roles. Tara served as the Senior Director of Engineering and later became the VP Product. As VP Product, Tara was responsible for building, scaling, and leading their Teams & Collaboration Product Organization. Tara drove growth, increased net revenue retention, and significantly grew the Vimeo Enterprise business through the Video Library product.
Most recently, in 2023, Tara joined The Browser Company as a Product Engineer.
Tara Feener attended Memorial University of Newfoundland from 2003 to 2009. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering.
