Chip McTague

Chip McTague is a seasoned energy trading professional with extensive experience in various critical roles within the industry. Since 2018, Chip has served as a Senior Energy Trader at Puget Sound Energy, focusing on real-time dispatch of the company's portfolio and optimizing asset performance in the CAISO EIM market. Previously, Chip was a Power Trader and Managing Member at HILLCREST CAPITAL, LLC from 2007 to 2017, where responsibilities included managing a high-performing energy trading desk and ensuring compliance in MISO, SPP, and PJM ISOs. Prior experience also includes roles as a Managed Futures Trader at Superfund Asset Management, where Chip developed technical trading systems for global markets, and as a Portfolio Manager at XCEL ENERGY, INC., which involved managing physical and financial energy supply trading and achieving significant annual profits. Chip holds a degree from Colorado State University.
