Cuong Nguyen

Cuong Nguyen possesses extensive experience in energy analytics, robotics education, and engineering, demonstrating a strong commitment to clean energy integration and STEAM initiatives. As the Head Coach at Islander Robotics Academy since August 2021, Cuong Nguyen has empowered K-12 students through VEX Robotics and related programs. Concurrently, in roles at Puget Sound Energy starting in 2018, Cuong Nguyen leads an analytics team focused on integrating clean resources into the Washington grid and has spearheaded policy and market development initiatives in the CAISO market. Cuong Nguyen also contributes to the IEEE Power & Energy Society as a Senior Member and has held various influential engineering roles with institutions like GE Digital and NYISO, shaping market products and improving trade efficiency. Cuong Nguyen earned a PhD in Power System Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2010.
