Jennifer Mersing

Jennifer Mersing is a Regulatory Policy Consultant in Transmission Policy and Contracts at Puget Sound Energy since April 2024. Previously, Jennifer served as Counsel at K&L Gates from November 2020 to April 2024, where assistance was provided to independent power producers with interconnection requests and negotiations pertaining to power supply issues. At Stoel Rives LLP from January 2016 to November 2020, Jennifer prepared Federal Energy Regulatory Commission filings and negotiated energy regulatory provisions. Jennifer was an Associate at White & Case LLP from September 2008 to January 2016, focusing on legal issues related to transmission ratemaking and regulatory compliance. Jennifer also held research roles at Columbia University School of Law and Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and gained initial experience as an intern in Congresswoman Nita Lowey's District Office. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Economics from William & Mary.
