Julie began their educational journey in 1989 at Lake Superior State University, where they obtained an Associate Degree in Child Development in 1991. Following that, they attended Central Michigan University from 1991 to 1993, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Psychology.
Seeking further specialization, Julie enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Superior from 1993 to 1995, where they completed a Master of Science degree in Education with a concentration in School Psychology.
