Mark Benedyk

Mark Benedyk has a long and varied work experience. In 2018, they began working as a Consulting Operating Partner for Sweetwater Capital Advisors, LLC, where they provide Advisory and General Partner support on direct secondary life science transactions. Mark also serves as a Director for Alafair Biosciences, a life sciences company specializing in the development and commercialization of biomaterials and biomedical devices. In 2017, Mark began working as a Director for Pulmotect, Inc., a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company. In 2011, they started working as a Managing Member for Rila Partners LLC and as an Advisor for Technology Multipliers, LLC. In 2019, they became a Director for Biometric Signature-ID, a leading developer of biometric ID verification software solutions. In 2018, Mark began working as an Executive Director for AmebaGone, Inc., a company developing novel biocontrols for crop bacterial infections. In 2012, they started working as President & CEO for Telephus Medical LLC, a company developing monoclonal antibodies to target antibiotic-resistant staph infections. Finally, in 2018, they began working as a Senior Advisor for Sweetwater Capital Partners, assisting in portfolio strategy and Advisory Board development.

Mark Benedyk received a B.S. in Microbiology and Botany (double major) from the University of Michigan in 1986. Prior to that, they attended Highland Park High School from 1977 to 1981. Mark then went on to obtain a PhD in Genetics and Developmental Biology from The Rockefeller University in 1994.
