Mark Benedyk received a B.S. in Microbiology and Botany (double major) from the University of Michigan in 1986. Prior to that, they attended Highland Park High School from 1977 to 1981. Mark then went on to obtain a PhD in Genetics and Developmental Biology from The Rockefeller University in 1994.
