Mary Pender

Mary Pender has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mary most recently worked at Pulsant as the Director of Talent starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held multiple positions at Aberdeen Standard Investments, including Head of Talent, Development and Acquisition, Global Head of Talent Development & Learning, and Senior Talent & Organisation Development Consultant. Mary also worked as a Non-Executive Director at Volunteer Midlothian from 2014 to 2017. In addition, they had their own consultancy firm called One 2 Another Consulting Ltd, where they served as Director and provided services such as organizational development, talent and learning consultancy, team facilitation, and leadership and management development. Mary also held interim positions as the Head of Organizational Development at Heriot-Watt University and the Organization Capability Manager at Lloyds Banking Group. Overall, Mary has a strong background in talent management, organizational development, and learning and development.

Mary Pender pursued their education at The University of Edinburgh from 1997 to 2001, earning an MA (Hons) in Psychology. In 2007, they attended the University of Strathclyde and received a Certificate of Professional Development in Performance Coaching. Additionally, they attended the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland from 2001 to 2004, obtaining an MCIBS degree in Banking.
