Navinder Uppal

Navinder Uppal has an extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Navinder began their career as a Financial Analyst at Deutsche Bank in 2001, where they worked until 2004. Navinder then joined ABN AMRO as a PMO/Transition Offshoring Manager, managing a global finance transformation project. Navinder was later relocated to Chicago to lead the transition of Accounts Payable to Mumbai.

In 2004, Navinder joined IBM United Kingdom Ltd as a Senior Financial Management Consultant, working on a variety of engagements in the Financial Services sector. Navinder was also selected to participate in IBM's Top Talent program for future leaders of the business.

Navinder then joined Bradford Council in 2007 as a Service Delivery Manager, overseeing a Strategic IT Partnership with IBM. Navinder successfully managed the delivery of contractual obligations, supplier management, and business benefits tracking.

Navinder returned to IBM as a Senior Financial Management Consultant in 2012 and worked there until 2014. During this time, they were involved in various activities such as solution design, change management, programme and project management, and commercial management.

From 2014 to 2016, Navinder worked as a Global CRM Release Manager at International Personal Finance Plc, leading the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM to improve customer experience and marketing campaigns.

Navinder joined Morrisons in 2012 as an Outsourcing Programme Manager in the Finance Shared Service Centre, managing the transition to Wipro Limited. Navinder later became the Head of Retail Improvement, coordinating multiple improvement initiatives in Morrisons stores.

Navinder also worked at The Co-op as a Release/Programme Manager before joining Morrisons again in 2017 as the Head of Technology - Programmes and Application Development. Navinder led major change initiatives in various areas such as logistics, supply chain, commercial, manufacturing, and retail environments.

Currently, Navinder is the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at Pulsant, a role they have held since 2023.

Navinder Uppal graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Science degree in International Securities, Investment, and Banking from the University of Reading in 2001. Additionally, Uppal has obtained qualifications as a Qualified Accountant from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
