Melanie Turkel

Melanie Turkel has a strong background in clinical trials and clinical affairs, with a career spanning over 20 years. Melanie began their career as a Senior Clinical Application Specialist at CardioDynamics in 2000, and then transitioned to roles of increasing responsibility at St. Jude Medical, where they served as a Manager and later as a Senior Manager of Clinical Studies. In 2018, they joined Shockwave Medical, Inc. as an Associate Director of Clinical Affairs. Currently, they are employed at Pulse Biosciences, Inc. as a Clinical Trial Manager and was recently promoted to the position of Director, Clinical Trials.

Melanie Turkel has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College. Melanie also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Penn State University, with a field of study in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. In addition, they have obtained a certification as a Certified Clinical Research Professional from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) in September 2010.
