Ivan Govender (Pr. Eng, MBA, LLB) currently serves as the Global Head of HSSE and Regional Operations Manager for Africa and MEAP at Puma Energy, a role held since March 2020. Previous experience includes positions at Sasol, where Ivan led sustainability and technology initiatives, and also managed multidisciplinary engineering teams. Ivan's expertise extends to energy financing and project evaluation from a tenure at the Development Bank of Southern Africa, prior to which experience was gained at Veolia Water Systems and Buckman. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, an MBA, and a Bachelor of Laws, complemented by specialized certifications in energy management and credit skills.
