Jim Laclair

Jim Laclair is the current Chief Information Officer at Punahou School. Jim has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, holding various positions in software development, network operations, and executive management.

Laclair began their career in 1998 as a Director of Network Operations for Verizon in the Pacific region. Jim then moved to Hawaiian Telcom in 2004, where they served as Vice President of Software Development and Executive Director of Solutions Integration. In this role, they were responsible for managing a software development team and ensuring agile SDLC processes. Jim also oversaw new product launches, business intelligence, data analytics, system strategies, software architecture, quality assurance, release deployments, and operational support.

In 2014, Laclair left Hawaiian Telcom to start their own IT consulting company, Clear Consulting LLC. Jim ran the company for six years before joining Punahou School as their Chief Information Officer. In this role, they are responsible for the school's IT infrastructure and operations. Jim has helped the school modernize its IT systems and improve its online presence.

Jim Laclair attended the University of Phoenix, Indiana University - Division of Extended Studies, and Pasadena City College.

They work with Robert Gelber - Director of Communications, John Field - VP, Treasurer, and Charlotte Kamikawa - Director of Physical Plant. Jim Laclair reports to Michael E. Latham, President.
