Gaspar Gascon

Gaspar Gascon Abellan serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Punch Powertrain since May 2020, leading a skilled R&D team focused on developing advanced automatic transmissions for both conventional and electrified vehicles. Prior to this role, Gaspar served as EVP of Engineering at Groupe Renault from June 2014 to January 2020, where involvement included participation in the Executive Committee and oversight of global engineering operations. Gaspar's earlier experience at Groupe Renault, from April 2002 to April 2014, encompassed several leadership positions in powertrain engineering, including SVP Head of Powertrain Engineering, VP of Powertrain Programs, VP of Diesel Engines Project Director, and Head of Manufacturing Engineering Department. Gaspar's educational background includes completion of an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2012 and a degree in Aeronautics from Escuela Tecnica Superior de Ingenieros Aeronauticos, earned from 1983 to 1989.
