Aaran Poynter

Aaran Poynter is an experienced culinary professional currently serving as Executive Chef at Carroll Country Pubs since June 2021, focusing on establishing a group of Great British Pubs. Poynter also holds the position of Head Chef at Oakman Inns & Restaurants Ltd since April 2018, and serves as Catering Development Manager for Punch (Taverns) since March 2016, managing 43 pubs across East Anglia, London, and the South East. Previous roles include Chef Consultant at The Shepherd & Dog, Head Chef at Felix Restaurant Group, and Executive Chef at Holiday Inn Southend. Poynter brings a wealth of experience in setting up compliant restaurants and was recognized in 2015 as the competition winner for Best Restaurant View in Essex. Education includes attendance at Chelmsford Catering College and Shenfield High School.
