Zamir Khan has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Lead Software Developer at Ferrara & Liu Holdings. In 2007, they moved on to work as a Software Developer at Comcast Cable, where they were responsible for cross-platform embedded development (Java) for millions of customers. In 2009, they became a Software Product Engineer at Novadaq Technologies Inc., where they led the transition from a reliance on external consultants to a lean and productive internal development team. In 2013, they took a position as a Senior Software Developer at Centre for Imaging Technology Commercialization, where they led integration efforts to accelerate commercial medical device companies. In 2014, they became a Principal Consultant, providing software services to organizations with complex software needs. In 2018, they co-founded ClearVoxel Imaging and was the CTO, leading MVP development and helping with customer interviews and demos. In 2020, they worked as a Lead Consultant at Code Clear Labs. Finally, in 2021, they are currently working as the VP of Video at Punchbowl, helping to build Memento and the group video platform.
Zamir Khan attended the University of Waterloo from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a BASc in Computer Engineering. Zamir then attended Western University from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained an MESc in Biomedical Engineering. In 2014, they attended TechAlliance and the Ivey School of Business to complete the Entrepreneur 1.0 program.
