Executive Director, Academic Accountability & Student Success at Purdue University Fort Wayne

Kent Johnson is the current Executive Director of Academic Accountability & Student Success at Purdue University Fort Wayne. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Vice Provost and Director of General Education at Northern Kentucky University from April 2011 to October 2014. In this role, they oversaw the administration of the General Education Program and assessment activities, devised general education policies, and coordinated with Faculty Senate on various initiatives. Some of their accomplishments during their time at Northern Kentucky University include helping to establish the launch of the First Year Advising Center and creating and enacting an institutional assessment process to comply with SACS standards. Kent also spearheaded responses to formal complaints by two faculty members to SACS on the compliance of GE Program with SACS Standards and complaint to The US Department of Education, which resulted in a finding that all Standards had been maintained.

Dr. Johnson has a PhD in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration/Management and Organizations from Penn State University. Kent also has a Master's degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Dallas Baptist University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business.
