Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration at Purdue University Northwest

Stephen R. Turner is the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at Purdue University Northwest and serves as chief business officer for the university. PNW serves 9,500 students, employs 1,200 faculty and staff and is supported by budgets totaling $153 million. Physical assets include facilities with over 2,000,000 square feet of space, properties totaling 741 acres with a combined value of $675 million.

Vice Chancellor Turner is responsible for budget planning, financial analysis, business support services, human resources, capital planning, project management, facilities operations and maintenance, procurement, public safety, regulatory compliance, property acquisitions and serves as PNW’s liaison with Purdue University system administrators and the Purdue Research Foundation in matters related to the duties listed above.

Turner earned an associate degree in mechanical engineering technology from Purdue Northwest, a baccalaureate degree in psychology from Indiana University Northwest, a master’s degree in education leadership from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in business administration from Purdue University – Krannert School of Management.

Vice Chancellor Turner has been with Purdue University Northwest since 1998.
