George Jones

George Jones is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in product development and design. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Pure Electric since October 2020, George has played a pivotal role in developing multi award-winning products and conducting research for future innovations. Prior to this, George worked at Herman Miller for a decade in various roles, including Product Development Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed design and development of premium electronic and furniture products, mentoring technical staff, and enhancing manufacturing processes. Earlier experience includes consulting and site engineering at AMEC, focusing on safety review projects at Hinkley Point Nuclear Power Station. George holds an MSc in Manufacturing Engineering and Management and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Nottingham.
