Sam Guillen

Sam Guillen has extensive experience in the field of network engineering and support. Starting in 2001, they worked as a Technical Support Agent at The Answer Group, providing desktop support to broadband customers. Sam then joined the Florida Army National Guard in 1997 as a Wire Systems Equipment Repairer, where they performed maintenance on telephones and switchboard equipment. In 2002, they became a Campaign Manager at Frontline Direct Teleservices until 2005. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a Health and Life Insurance Agent at Health Benefits Direct.

In 2007, Sam joined 4G Data Systems Inc as an Onsite Technician for Citigroup, responsible for installations and troubleshooting in a multi-location WAN. From 2009 to 2013, they worked at Cablevision as a Support Engineer, providing high-speed internet and digital cable services to customers. Sam then worked at Charter Communications from 2013 to 2017 as a Network Engineer, focusing on network security architecture and threat identification.

From 2017 to 2018, Sam worked as a Network Consultant at the United States Postal Service, handling network support for wired and wireless infrastructure. In 2018, they joined Insight as a Network Support Engineer, responsible for implementing solutions and providing high-level network support to major corporate and government clients. Currently, Sam works at Pure IT Credit Union Services as a Network Engineer, which they started in 2023.

Sam Guillen completed high school and obtained a High School Diploma from Hope High School in the years 1984-1988. In terms of additional certifications, Sam obtained various certifications from different institutions. These certifications include Cato Certified Associate from Cato Networks in June 2023, Cisco Certified Network Professional - Enterprise, Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation, and Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core from Cisco in June 2018. Sam also obtained CCNA Security certification from Cisco in January 2019. Other certifications obtained by Sam include A+ Certified Professional, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), HP Printer & PC Certified Professional, HP Professional Learning Center, Network+, and US Army Secret Security Clearance from various institutions.
