Pete Kirkpatrick

Pete Kirkpatrick is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as VP Engineering and Chief Architect at Pure Storage since July 2013, Pete has previously held roles such as Technical Director and Chief Architect, and Principal Engineer. Prior to Pure Storage, Pete was a Principal Engineer at Violin Memory and founded Aprius, where Pete served as Chief Architect and was recognized as a Top 50 Startup by the Wall Street Journal. Additional experience includes a Technical Expert/Engineering Manager role at Intel Corporation, RF/Optoelectronic Engineer at LightLogic, Inc., and Research Assistant at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Pete holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, earned from 1994 to 1999.
