Rabeh Elleithy

Director of Product Technology at PureCycle

Rabeh Elleithy has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. They began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Tuskegee University in 1995. After that, they worked as a Senior Engineer at PolyOne from 1996 to 2000, where they conducted experiments, identified processing problems, and characterized the properties of different polymeric materials. From 2001 to 2003, they held the position of Senior Scientist at PolyOne, managing the Failure Prevention Laboratory and developing a new composite product. In 2004, Rabeh joined BASF as a Senior Technical Service Engineer, responsible for technical assistance and service for a range of customers. From 2006 to 2011, they served as Technical Director and Chair Professor at King Saud University, managing research projects, teaching polymer engineering courses, and securing research grants. In the following years, they worked for Printpack Inc as a Principal Engineer, leading innovation projects and developing new compounds. They then joined SABIC as the Manager of Composites Platform, where they led a team and contributed to the growth of additive manufacturing and composite applications. Rabeh then worked at Taghleef Industries as a Senior R&D Packaging Engineer, focusing on research and development in packaging. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Product Technology at PureCycle Technologies starting in 2022. Overall, Rabeh Elleithy has a rich background in polymer engineering, research and development, and technical leadership.

Rabeh Elleithy holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Polymers Engineering and Science from Case Western Reserve University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Polymers Engineering / Materials Science, both from Alexandria University.
