U Robert Kultgen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. U Robert currently works as a Joint Venture Program Manager at PureCycle Technologies. Prior to that, they were the Business Owner of First Principles Engineering and Manufacturing, LLC, where they provided engineering consultation services. U Robert also held various roles at Montana Precision Products, including Investment Castings, Machine Shop, and Tube & Duct Business Leader, as well as Castings Business Leader.

In their previous roles, Kultgen worked at Shaanxi Non Ferrous TianHong REC Silicon Materials as the Siemens Area Engineering Manager, leading a team in designing and constructing a semiconductor and solar grade facility in China. U Robert also worked at REC Silicon as the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Technology Leader and Manager, leading multiple MES implementations and advancements in the manufacturing process. Additionally, they served as the Silicon Derivatives R&D, CAPEX Project, and Operations Manager, leading a successful effort to introduce semiconductor silicon precursors to the global market. Kultgen also worked as the R&D Manager for Silanes and Siemens Polycrystalline Silicon Market Segments, Staff Engineer, and Corporate Quality Assurance Manager at REC Silicon.

Before REC Silicon, Kultgen was the Business Owner of GCSI, LLC, where they designed and deployed Low Power Television and Radio solutions. U Robert also worked as the Plant Engineering Manager and Senior Project Engineer at Advanced Silicon Materials.

Kultgen began their career at 3M Company, where they worked as a Senior Product Development Engineer, focusing on process engineering and pilot plant operations in solventless adhesives. U Robert also implemented Manufacturing Execution Systems technologies in the Tape Manufacturing Division.

Throughout their career, Kultgen has gained expertise in engineering consultation, project management, quality assurance, research and development, and manufacturing execution systems. U Robert has extensive experience in the semiconductor, consumer goods, and engineering industries.

U Robert Kultgen completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at Montana State University-Bozeman from 1983 to 1987. In 1986, they obtained the EIT certification from the state of Montana. Later on, U Robert Kultgen pursued additional education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the field of Smart Manufacturing starting from 2019, and the program is still in progress. Additionally, U Robert Kultgen has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including Parsec TrakSYS MOM Software from Parsec Automation Corp. in August 2018, Fundamentals of Supervision from LSU Executive Education in April 2011, and Apollo Root Cause Analysis from EFFECTIVE PROBLEM SOLVING LLC in May 2008.
