Steve Ellis has extensive work experience in the food industry, specifically in operations and manufacturing. Steve is currently the Vice President of Operations at PureField Ingredients since June 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at PURIS from April 2019 to May 2022, and at InHarvest from 2017 to 2019.

From 2012 to 2017, Steve was the Vice President of Manufacturing at Farmers' Rice Cooperative, where they were responsible for plant operations and supply chain functions. Steve was a member of the executive leadership team and oversaw various areas including milling operations, grain drying, supply chain processes, continuous improvement, food safety, and quality assurance.

Steve also worked for Cargill for a significant portion of their career. Steve held various roles, including Global Food Ingredient Reliability Excellence Leader, Vice President of Operations, and Plant Operations Management. In these roles, they led the global deployment of reliability excellence processes, directed multiple manufacturing locations in the US and Canada, and crafted strategic plans to optimize efficiencies and enhance product quality.

Furthermore, Steve served as a Board Member at Kansas State University starting in 2009.

Steve Ellis has pursued various educational programs throughout their career. Steve completed their Bachelor of Science degree at Kansas State University. Later on, they enrolled in the Minnesota Executive Program at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, where they earned an MBA. Additionally, they participated in an Executive Finance Course at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an Executive Marketing Course at the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
