Maitha Ahmed

Maitha Ahmed has over 18 years of work experience in the field of public relations and communications. Maitha is currently working as the Head of Public Relations at PureHealth since September 2023. Prior to this, Maitha held several senior roles at Edelman, including Director/SVP & Head of Business Development EMEA, where they worked across key sectors such as tourism, retail, real estate, and sustainability. Maitha also served as the Director/SVP for Edelman Middle East, overseeing new business development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts in the region. Before joining Edelman, Maitha worked at Dubai Tourism as the Corporate Communications Lead, responsible for PR and communications strategy for various festivals and events. Maitha has also worked at ASDA'A BCW as a Group Director and Account Director, and at Rooster PR as an Account Director and Senior Account Manager. Maitha began their career at Four Communications as an Account Manager, Senior Account Executive, and Account Executive, handling clients in the tourism and hospitality industry. Maitha started their professional journey as an Assistant Account Executive at Keene PA.

Maitha Ahmed completed their undergraduate education at the University of Sussex from 2002 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Maitha is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Applied Neuroscience and Psychology at King's College London, expected to be completed between 2021 and 2023.
