Rizwan Tufail

Rizwan Tufail has a diverse work experience starting from 1994. Rizwan worked as Project Manager in Pakistan Herald Publications Limited, where they successfully transitioned to electronic publication systems and implemented South Asia's first-ever news-portal. In 1998, they co-founded Clickmarks and served as the Co-Founder and VP of Business Development/Marketing, helping the venture grow to an organization of 80 employees. From 2003 to 2012, Rizwan held multiple roles at Microsoft, including Regional Director for Sub-Saharan Africa and Regional Education Lead for the Middle East and Africa. Rizwan led strategic initiatives, business development, and educational programs, partnering with governments and implementing flagship programs. From 2012 to 2022, Rizwan founded and managed Innovonomics, a Think-and-Do Tank focused on accelerating global innovation economies. Rizwan also served on the boards of the Centre for Social Innovation and the Institute for Change Leaders, supporting social enterprises and community-based organizations. In 2017, Rizwan joined Mozilla as the Director of Leadership Programs, where they led a globally recognized program to support high-impact leaders. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Data Officer at PureHealth, where they lead data-related initiatives and strategies.

Rizwan Tufail holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Technology, Innovation, Education, and Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, which they completed in 2013. In 1999, they received an MBA degree with a focus on Statistics, Economics, and Econometrics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Prior to that, in 1994, Rizwan obtained an MBA degree in Marketing from the Institute of Business Administration. Rizwan began their education by earning a B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology in 1992. In addition to their academic qualifications, Rizwan has obtained various certifications, including The Digital Transformation of Learning, Business Analytics Foundations, Data Analytics for Business Professionals, Leading with Innovation, R for Excel Users, and a Certified Quality Assurance (ISO-9000) Auditor.
