Umair Malik

Umair Malik has worked in the tech industry since 2013. In 2013, they worked as an Internee at Pepsi Cola, where they worked on an internal project of maintaining Inventory. Theirresponsibilities included working and managing the backend of the system and fixing bugs/issues reported by the QA, as well as fixing frontend bugs of the website built on CSS and Bootstrap. Umair also worked as a Website Developer at Green Fins for 7 months, where they worked on core PHP projects and developed web scrappers using PHP libraries and storing the results in mySql databases, and worked with Bootstrap and fixing basic design layouts. From 2014 to present, Umair has worked at PureLogics in various roles including Technical Project Manager, Associate Project Manager, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer. As Technical Project Manager, their responsibilities included creating roadmaps/user stories, preparing estimations, team planning and time management, stakeholder management, and creating strategies to communicate between project sponsor and project team. As Associate Project Manager, their responsibilities included creating roadmaps/user stories, preparing estimations, team planning and time management, stakeholder management, and creating strategies to communicate between project sponsor and project team. As Senior Software Engineer, their responsibilities included leading their team and providing technical help where needed. Umair worked on different PHP frameworks and databases like Laravel, Symfony, mySql, Mongo, Node, Angular, etc. Umair also did certification of AWS, and maintained servers, security groups, and other main services of AWS like (EC2, S3, RDS, etc). As Software Engineer, their responsibilities included working on Core and different frameworks of PHP, WordPress, CodeIgniter, Slim, CakePHP, Symfony, mySql, GIT, Firebase, Google Map APIs, Python, and some other frameworks and tech. Umair was also responsible for managing and deploying websites on servers, maintaining server securities and client communication.

Umair Malik has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from Bahauddin Zakariya University (2010-2014) and a Matric in Science from Pakistan Public School. Umair also holds certifications from Google, CertiProf, SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Google Project Management (2022), Lifelong Learning (2021), Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) (2021), and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) (2020).
