Marina Forte

Marina Forte has a diverse range of work experience in the field of bioscience. Marina most recently worked as an Analytical Scientist at Purespring Therapeutics starting in October 2022. Before that, Marina was a Senior Bioscientist at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) from April 2022 to October 2022. Prior to their role at CRUK, they were a Bioassay Specialist at Ipsen from June 2020 to July 2022, where they focused on technical transfer of cell-based drug potency assays and designing a new GMP Bioassay laboratory.

Marina also worked as a Scientist at Lonza from January 2019 to May 2020, where they developed cell-based drug potency assays and ensured compliance with GMP and audit standards. Marina gained research experience through internships, including a Research Assistant Internship at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic from June 2016 to September 2016, where they worked on a project involving geminivirus mediated engineering. Marina also had a Research Assistant Internship at Royal Holloway, University of London from June 2015 to July 2015, where they assisted a Master's student in studying the signaling mechanisms affected by a peptide in neurons. Marina'sresponsibilities included sample processing, literature search, and protocol optimization.

Marina Forte pursued their education in the field of science and genetics. Marina began their academic journey in 2013 at the University of Wolverhampton, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology, which they completed in 2016. Following this, from 2016 to 2018, Marina attended the University of Nottingham, where they pursued a Master's of Research (MRes) in Medicine and Applied Biochemistry. The exact degree name for this program is not specified. Additionally, in July 2021, Marina acquired a certification titled "CRISPR: revolutionizing genome editing" from The CPD Certification Service.
