David Golod

David Golod has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on clinical development and operations. David is currently serving as the Head of Clinical Program Strategy at PureTech Health since February 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President of Clinical Development Operations at Goldfinch Bio from March 2022 to February 2023. David also served as Vice President of Clinical Operations at Flexion Therapeutics from December 2018 to March 2022 and at Flex Pharma from July 2017 to August 2018.

Earlier in their career, David worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as the Senior Director of Clinical Development Execution - Head of Program Operations Management for a significant period from an undisclosed start date to April 2017. David also gained valuable experience as an Independent Clinical Development Professional at Cambridge Clinical Consulting from 2009 to 2010, and as the Director of Clinical Development at Pear Tree Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2008 to 2010.

Before that, David held various positions, including Director of Clinical Research at Akros Pharma Inc. from 2002 to 2007 and Sr. Clinical Scientist at Solvay Pharmaceuticals from 1999 to 2002. David began their career as a Biomedical Engineer at the Medical University of South Carolina from 1992 to 1994.

David Golod has a PhD in Physiological and Pharmacological Sciences from Emory University, an MBA in Pharmaceutical Business from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University.
