Julia Fry has been working in the fashion industry since 1984. Julia began their career as an Assistant Designer for Prince & the Revolution. In 1986, they became an Eveningwear Designer for Nicole Miller. In 1987, they founded iQ. From 1993 to 1999, they were a Dr. Suess boys and jrs. designer for Esprit. In 1999, they founded Vaska Inc. and in 2012, they founded Puretergent, Inc., a woman-owned business that manufactures Zero Waste Ecologo certified cleaning and personal care products.
Julia Fry attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied Economics. From 1985 to 1986, they attended F.I.T and obtained a degree in Apparel Design, with a focus in Fashion/Apparel Design.
