Layn Tallent's work experience includes being a Marketing Director at Purple Heart Homes, Inc. since February 2021. Layn is also a Rotarian of The Greater Statesville Rotary Club since June 2020 and a Board Member of the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce since January 2021. Layn was previously the Creative Director at G4G Ministries from February 2020 to May 2021 and then served as the Executive Director. Before that, they worked as an Assistant Manager and Keyholder at Julie's Boutique from September 2019 to March 2020, and as a Social Media Manager at F45 Training from August 2018 to December 2019.
Layn Tallent attended North Carolina State University from 2015 to 2019. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Apparel and Textile Marketing Management. Additionally, they completed a minor in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management.

Purple Heart Homes is a 501(c)3 public charity that was founded in 2008 by John Gallina and Dale Beatty, two combat wounded veterans. After being injured in Iraq in 2004, they returned to their community and received a warm welcome and grateful appreciation for their service. They began to question why all veterans didn’t get the same levels of support and assistance from society. The answer isn’t easy, but Purple Heart Homes fills the gaps by providing housing for Service Connected Disabled Veterans that is substantial in function, design, and quality fit to welcome home the fighting men and women of America. From building a ramp for a veteran of World War II, to providing home ownership opportunities to younger Veterans, our programs are designed out of necessity and fit the specific needs of the aging veteran population.
