Michael Sarmiento

Michael Sarmiento has held various roles in education throughout their career. Michael started as an Elementary School Administrator at Ka Waihona o Ka Naʻauao Public Charter School in 2009 and served in that position until 2019. In 2018, they joined Kamehameha Schools where they worked as a Project Manager and Lead College Portfolio Architect until 2022. Currently, Michael is the VP of Educational Design at Purple Maiʻa Foundation, a position they have held since 2022.

Michael Sarmiento received their high school diploma from Kamehameha Schools in 1993. Following this, they pursued a Master of Education degree at Whittier College from 1993 to 2000, specializing in the field of Education.
