Joseph Sebestyen

Joseph Sebestyen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several roles and industries. Joseph is currently serving as the Vice President of Technology at Purple Rock Scissors, a strategic creative agency. Prior to this, they were a Partner and Head of Software and Product Development at Pixel Recess from 2020-2022.

Before that, Joseph worked as a Full Stack Developer at CRIB Design+Research Lab from 2019-2020. Joseph also held the position of Solutions Architect at Gravy from 2019-2019 and at Codesmith Development from 2014-2018.

Their earlier work experience includes being an IT Developer/Engineer at Hewlett-Packard from 2008-2014, where they were responsible for development practices, solution design, and improving the software development lifecycle. Joseph also served as an IT Architect at Crown Financial Ministries from 2007-2008, where they implemented new development systems and introduced agile development methodologies.

Joseph has also worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Paaridian Technologies, Inc. / Optimus Solutions from 2005-2007, where they designed and oversaw the implementation of the Rapid ResponseVirtual Emergency Operations Center. Prior to that, Joseph was the Lead Developer at Home Depot from 1997-2005, where they played a crucial role in technical designs and process issues related to the Enterprise Portal.

Earlier in their career, Joseph worked as a Systems Analyst at Liberty Systems International / Radiant Systems from 1995-1997, where they utilized their knowledge of programming languages and networking to design and implement various utilities. Throughout their career, Joseph has demonstrated a strong technical expertise and a commitment to improving development processes and solution designs.

Joseph Sebestyen attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
